The revolutionary French troops led by Napoleon Bonaparte invade Italy, imposing a new anti-Christian social order. In 1796, an elderly and ailing Pope Pius VI is arrested and deported to France, where he will die in captivity. The invaders dethrone legitimate sovereigns and plunder works of art and riches of every kind, but above all, they unleash a wave of persecution against the Catholic Church. Churches are desecrated, sacred furnishings looted, and monasteries suppressed.
The year is 1798; the troops are advancing toward Bagnacavallo, and Jacobin collaborators have already invaded the San Francesco Convent.
Will you manage to save the important artwork of the Madonna kept within the Convent in under 60 minutes? Friar Contarini has hidden the sacred image in a secret room he used for his writings and spiritual rites. Will you escape the Napoleonic troops and save this masterpiece forever?
