In the heart of the medieval town of Bagnacavallo stands the Convento di San Francesco, a 13th-century gem that continues to write its own history. Originally a vital crossroads for travelers of the past, today the complex transforms into a unique experience: an exceptional hotel facility where the charm of ancient architecture meets modern hospitality.
From the evocative monumental Cloister, the heart of local events, to the majesty of the Sala delle Capriate (Truss Hall), every corner tells the story of an era. Whether for a rejuvenating stay, an art exhibition in the gallery spaces, or an unforgettable event, the Convent invites you to step across the threshold of time.
This historical complex is constituted by a church and the wide monastery building. The latter includes: the beautiful former refectory, called “Sala Oriani” or “Refettorio nuovo”, the cloister, the monumental staircase, the rooms on the first floor, normally used for exhibitions, the basements and the attic, often called “solaio grande” or “Sala delle Capriate”.
Between Mare e Collina a place that tells the story of a story. Hotel Antico Convento San Francesco is located in Bagnacavallo, a city of art in the heart of Romagna, with a unique medieval historic center.
